Анотація
У статті здійснено узагальнюючий аналіз різних авторських визначень комунікативної толерантності та представлено результати початкового етапу емпіричного дослідження – асоціативного опитування студентів щодо особистісних рис, ймовірно властивих їх «ідеальному» співрозмовнику.
Зазначається, що, залежно від підходу до аналізу комунікативної толерантності (психологічного чи мовознавчого), науковці зосереджуються або переважно на змістовних характеристиках цього поняття, або їх більше цікавить формальний бік прояву даного феномену.
Виявлено, що серед особистісних рис, виділених респондентами, як передумову ефективного спілкування, домінують дві групи рис: 1) які стосуються вміння спілкуватися; 2) пов’язані з моральним розвитком людини.
Запропоновано підсумкове розуміння комунікативної толерантності як особистісної риси, що проявляється у доброзичливому і відкритому ставленні до іншої людини в процесі спілкування з нею.
