Abstract
The article presents the results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of the attitude of young students to entrepreneurship, emphasizes the role of young people and their participation in choosing a profession, and the motives for entrepreneurial activity. It is substantiated that young people, with their inherent energy, enthusiasm and creative activity, are focused on finding new areas of application of their strengths, new promising types of professional activity, which is of particular importance in the context of digitalization of the economy, large-scale development and implementation of computer technologies. A historical analysis of the development of the concept of "entrepreneur" has been made. Entrepreneurship, due to its wide possibilities, occupies a special place in the establishment of economic freedom and the ideals of civil society, and is an integral attribute of a developed democratic state. Small entrepreneurship is of particular importance for the sustainable growth of citizens' well-being and the prosperity of society, its economic and social development. The theoretical foundations of the study of values and professional and value orientations of student youth towards entrepreneurial activities are considered. The factors influencing the assessment of work in small business structures are studied. The role and place of entrepreneurship in the life plans of young people is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the motivation of entrepreneurship and its attractiveness for young people. The factors that, according to students, hinder the development of small business in Ukraine, as well as the desired forms of support for entrepreneurs from the state, were studied. The socio-psychological factors that influence the choice of entrepreneurial activity as a way of professional self-determination of student youth were identified. It was found that the majority of young students have a positive attitude towards entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial activity, a significant number of students want to become entrepreneurs, but young students understand well that entrepreneurship is always a risk. The results of the study can be used as recommendations for conducting work on the professional orientation of students and young employees, as well as for improving forms of state support for small businesses in Ukraine.
