Анотація
Ця стаття присвячена дослідженню особистісних рис у світлі сучасних наук про мозок, зокрема йдеться про нейропсихологічну природу нейротизму. Проаналізовані дані, які стосуються психогенетики нейротизму, нейровізуалізаційних та нейрохімічних механізмів виникнення цієї риси. Нейронаукові пояснення природи нейротизму розглянуті в контексті психологічних теорій особистості. З’ясовано, що нейротизм, як нейропсихологічний конструкт, має неоднорідну структуру: у проаналізованих дослідженнях виокремлюють два відносно незалежних типи нейротизму, які пов’язані зі специфічними типами адаптації та різними modus vivendi. Прослідковується зв’язок між психогенетичними дослідженнями нейротизму, нейропсихологічними моделями особистісної риси нейротизму (а також його аспектів: лабільності та відчуження) та, насамкінець, типами захистів від страху смерті, які пропонуються в екзистенційному підході Ірвіна Ялома. Виокремлено два різних типи нейротизму, які мають незалежне психогенетичне підґрунтя та відмінну психологічну природу.
