The article analyzes and systematizes the main approaches studying the current state of social specialists’ professional work and cooperation, the essence and components of their inter-professional cooperation. The concept of “inter-professional cooperation” is defined and its main features are determined.
The experimental base and the set of diagnostic tools, including the authors’ methods, were substantiated, which allowed us to study the psychological components and features of social specialists’ inter-professional cooperation and to develop the integrative psychological model of social specialists’ readiness for inter-professional cooperation.
The main components, criteria and indicators describing formation of social specialists’ inter-professional cooperation were determined. In particular, the motivational-emotional component was determined by: the orienting criterion with such indicators are formed professional motivation and a specialist’s value system, their ability to take an initiative, to make decisions independently, to use creativity in professional work, and their professional mobility; and the emotional-volitional criterion, including self-control, emotional stability, conflict avoidance. The cognitive-meaningful component was determined by the cognitive-analytical criterion with such indicators as a formed system of general professional and professional theoretical knowledge, a specialist’s ability to analyze a situation. The activity-practical component was determined with two criteria: behavioural-operational (formed relevant professional skills) and communicative-activity (mutual relations and mutual understanding, linguistic competence and sociability, communicative knowledge and skills). The regulatory component was determined by the personality-reflective criterion with the indicators of empathy, perception of oneself and others, reflexivity, awareness of a specialist’s social role and behaviour consistent with this role.
Based on the determined criteria and indicators of social specialists’ readiness for inter-professional interaction, we determined the levels of its formation: high (creative), medium (sufficient), low (insufficient).
The empirical data were analysed by certain components of future and actual social specialists’ readiness for inter-professional interaction and the results were presented in the article.
