A psychologist should help parents, in a correct and tactful way, to get rid of illusions as for opportunities of their child’s development. At the same time, a psychologist should strengthen parents’ faith in possibilities and prospects of their child’s development, as properly organized corrective actions can optimize the further intellectual and personal development of the child.
