As a result, in the future, psychological traumatisation of law enforcement officers with the further development of PTSD is highly probable.

According to the state statistics of the country, the number of participants at the antiterrorist operation who need psychological rehabilitation increases, but the present imperfect psychological rehabilitation system cannot help all of them.

Despite the existing regulatory documents governing the provision of psychological and medical assistance to participants of the antiterrorist operation and existing measures to improve the psychological support for the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there is serious concern about the number of suicidal attempts made by law enforcement officers participating in the antiterrorist operation. Since the beginning of the antiterrorist operation, the number of deaths unrelated to the direct hostilities is more than 1,300 people, of which 259 are suicides.

The article generalizes legal documents regulating the provision of psychological assistance to the antiterrorist operation participants and substantiates the functional division of medical rehabilitation centre specialists: a counsellor; a psychologist-coach; a family psychologist; a sexologist / sexologist. The main tasks for the development of the psychological rehabilitative program are defined; the optional and mandatory measures are presented. The following areas of psychological rehabilitative program implementation have been identified: psychological; remedial and developmental work; sports; social; educational and methodological.

The article contains approaches to the assessment according to two criteria: subjective, reflecting participants’ opinions on the program strengths and weaknesses, on changed emotional states during the rehabilitation period and at the end of the program; and objective, based on psychological diagnostic methods.

}, number={6}, journal={PSYCHOLOGICAL JOURNAL}, author={Zemlyanska, Olena}, year={2019}, month={Jul.}, pages={148–160} }
