Abstract

The paper discusses the features of emotional intelligence of young men and features of the relationship of emotional intelligence with personal and communicative properties.

Thanks to the development of thinking in early youth, there are qualitative changes in the development of speech. In the early youth, speech is complicated by content and structure, expanded active and passive dictionaries, the ability to accurately express abstract concepts, the use of oral speech as a means of communication is formed.

The theoretical analysis of the problem of the interconnection of emotional intelligence and the peculiarities of youth communication have shown that today there is no single position regarding the understanding of the concept of emotional intelligence, its structural components.

So, some scientists under the emotional intelligence understand the ability to understand the attitude of the individual, represented in emotional sphere on the basis of intellectual analysis and synthesis. Others – the ability to understand and manage their and others’ emotions.

Consequently, the analysis of the results of the study of the relationship of emotional communication and the characteristics of communication between boys showed that there is a connection of emotional intelligence with the peculiarities of communication between boys. Thus, in a significant number of young men, a low level of interpersonal, intrapersonal emotional intelligence, management and understanding of emotions is revealed. In addition, a larger number of investigators found an addictive and aggressive type of communication. Regarding the accentuation of character, the most pronounced were the following types of accentuation: hypertonic, cycloidal, labile and asteno-neurotic.

Emotional intelligence is understood as the ability to understand the relationships of a person, represented in emotions, and to manage the emotional sphere on the basis of intellectual analysis and synthesis. Emotional intelligence is understood as the ability to understand and control one’s own and others emotions. A study of the relationship of emotional intelligence with the personality traits of the personality and its communicative properties.
