We emphasize that the problem of psychogenic infertility should be considered from the point of view of women’s psychological maturity. Psychological maturity is the highest degree of human self-development, mental integrity, inner harmony, effective self-disclosure in every sphere of life: family, spiritual, professional, etc. And, most simply, in explaining the psychological maturity of a woman, her self-realization, to manipulate metaphors of archetypes.
Female archetypes, according to J. Bohlen, are represented by the following species: a group of virgins - Athena, Artemis, Hestia; a group of vulnerable - Hera, Demetra, Persephone and the alchemical group is represented by Aphrodite.
Psychogenic infertility from the point of view of the metaphor of archetypes arises as a gag and an extreme point of self-manifestation in any one incarnation of one goddess, be it Athena, Artemis, Hestia or Persephone. Occultation in one architipic context generates the blocking of others. Athena will not give birth to a child, because she is emotionally and mentally more a man, Artemis does not want to give the hostile world a new generation, and especially to give offspring to her husband and men in general, Hestion - does not want to give anything to anyone, she is confined only to her spiritual needs, like Persephone on her own pleasure.
Such a destruction of the parent dominant occurs for many reasons. So, many of these causes originate from the adverse perinatal and biographical experiences of women, but archetypal space is a subconscious context of human activity, and female archetypes do not belong to the individual experience of a woman; they belong to a collective metaphorical stratum. Athena in the modern world is most in demand and active. Women in the overwhelming majority are aimed at competition with men, self-realization in purely male domains, they seek success and power. Therefore, the overwhelming activity of Athens (especially of it), Artemis, Hestia and Persephone in the modern world, is directly related to the growth of statistics of psychogenic infertility.
In this article, we just pointed out the problem. In further research, we intend to raise the transpersonal stratum of psychogenic infertility in more detail and describe the psychotherapeutic ways of overcoming it, which have already been tested and confirmed by our experience.
}, number={8}, journal={PSYCHOLOGICAL JOURNAL}, author={Korolovich, Oksana}, year={2018}, month={Sep.}, pages={76–85} }
