Abstract

 

The article presents the results of empirical research on the characteristics of specialist’s professional self-fulfilment in information technology (programmers). It is discovered, that programmers who took part in our study, have sufficiently higher overall professional self-fulfilment, which depends on their need for professional development, on the formation of their own    life-professional expanse and the use of professional experience and achievements by other professionals. Moreover, their inside - professional self-fulfillment is connected due to their professional achievements as well as external – professional self-fulfilment due to the achievement of their professional goals, the recognition of the achievements of the professional community, the disclosure of personal potential and abilities as well as the demonstration of high level of creativity in professional activities. That is, in our sample, programmers the indicators of inside and external – professional self-fulfilment are summarized and they depend of them. It was determined that the higher the level they have of inside – professional self-realization, the lower they have the indicators of support, flexibility, behavior and self-acceptance. However, the higher is the ability to interact and common actions, the sooner their own professional development project is formed. In addition, an important factor is specialists’ formulation of new professional goals. Is determined that they have a low level of interaction with other professionals and adoption of their aggression. It was determined that when the programmers of our sample reach their goals, then their behavior become less flexible.  However, the more they have a need for professional experience and achievements of other professionals, the more they are spontaneous. The level of external positive motivation affects the permanent setting of new professional goals and the level of external negative motivation is due to the level of recognition of the achievements of professional community. Self-effectiveness is associated to the disclosure of their own personal potential and constant desire to professional autonomy and independence.
